Help Dyslibria test whether research-led typography changes the reading experience.
Dyslibria is an open source ebook converter and rendering system exploring whether research-led typography and text rendering can make reading easier.
This study asks participants to read the same Frankenstein passage several times in different text styles. The order is randomised. The app records how long each version takes to read and then asks how each version felt.
What you will do
Read the same passage in several versions, answer short questions after each version, then rank which styles felt easiest or hardest.
What you will receive
Participants who complete the study receive a unique code that can later be redeemed for 3 months of Dyslibria Premium, when the product launches. Dyslibria Premium is a fully hosted, SaaS offering of the fully open sourced self-hosted software package.
• This is exploratory user research.
• Participation is voluntary.
• No diagnosis is required.
• Self-reported dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other reading differences are optional.
• No email address is collected.
• Completion codes must be saved by the participant because Dyslibria cannot send them later.
Research focus
Dyslibria is exploring whether typography may help some readers with focus, rereading, visual tracking, or fatigue in dense prose. This study does not diagnose or treat anything. It collects self-reported reading experience in a controlled comparison.
Privacy note
The questionnaire does not ask for your email address. If you finish the study, your reward code is shown once and you must save it yourself.
